Candidate for the position of US president from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, declared in 1995 a loss of nearly a billion dollars.
It allowed him to reduce significantly his tax payments during the following 18 years.
This was reported by the newspaper The New York Times, which gained access to previously unpublished documents related to the billionaire’s taxes.
Anyway the publication did not specify whether the billionaire took the granting of privileges or not.
The organizers of Trump’s election campaign said that the newspaper got the documents illegally, but did not deny the content.
Trump’s campaign did not agree to publish his tax returns, and also did not comment on the statement of financial losses.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton during the first presidential debate said that the reluctance of Trump is based on the fear that he hid something terrible.
When Clinton accused Trump that he did not pay the federal income tax, Trump said: “It makes me smart.”
All this seems rather mysterious, and we will never know the truth.
