“Empress of Soul” Gladys Knight joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1997. Then she divorced her third husband, orator and psychologist Les Brown. Knight created Saints Unified Voices – a choir that performed songs on Mormon themes. For this, she later won a Grammy Award.
