Flores Island, Portugal. Flores Island is located in the UNESCO World Heritage List. That is a national park with its unique flora and fauna. Flores Island is located in the most western point of the Azores, off the coast of Portugal. From Portuguese Flores Island is translated as “Cape of Flowers” because almost all of its territory is covered by a variety of colorful flowers. On the island you can see the natural hot springs, lagoons, flooding rice fields, quiet villages, lakes, volcanoes, as well as world famous caves.
