VW Atlas is one of the largest passenger cars in the history of this company. It was built on the modified modular platform MQB. The base version of Atlas is equipped with a two-liter turbo engine of 238 horsepower. It is only front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive version of the crossover assumes the presence of a 3.6 VR6 engine with a capacity of 280 horsepower.
Skoda Kodiaq. Like VW Atlas, this car is built on the MQB platform. It should be noted that the Czech crossover is quite capacious. If in the seven-seat modification of Kodiaq to fold the seatbacks of the second and third rows, then the volume of the luggage compartment will reach 2005 liters! The basic version is equipped with a gasoline engine with a turbo-supercharged capacity of 1.4 liters and a capacity of 125 forces.
Ford Flex is slightly longer than the Volkswagen Atlas, respectively, the capacity of the luggage compartment is slightly larger – 566 liters of cargo with raised backs of the third row. For American buyers Ford Flex is offered with two petrol engines with a working volume of 3.5 liters with a payback of 290 and 370 horsepower.
Dodge Durango is another competitor to Volkswagen Atlas. This “American” is equipped with engines 3.6 and 5.7 HEMI and automatic transmission. The standard version of Durango has a rear-wheel drive, multimedia with a five-inch touchscreen, a multifunction steering wheel and 18-inch wheels.
Honda Pilot is eight-seat model with a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine in 283 horsepower. Depending on the configuration, the engine works with a six-band or an eight-band automatic transmission.
Hyundai Grand Santa Fe. The most affordable modification of this crossover is equipped with a diesel 2.2-liter (200 horsepower) or gasoline 3.0-liter engines, a multimedia system with a five-inch color screen, 18-inch wheels. The minimum volume of the luggage compartment is 176 liters, and the maximum is 1842 liters.
Kia Sorento Prime is equipped with motors of the same power as the Grand Santa Fe, a 200-horsepower diesel engine 2.2 and a 250-horsepower gasoline unit 3.0. Also the basic configuration is provided with 18-inch wheels, a multimedia system with a seven-inch screen and navigation, electric adjustment of the driver’s seat, rain and light sensors.
Mazda CX-9. The off-road car is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo with a payback of 253 horsepower. The turbocharged engine is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. Some versions of the CX-9 are equipped with a system of plug-in all-wheel drive.
Toyota Highlander is equipped with gasoline 2.7-liter or 3.5-liter engines with a six-speed automatic transmission. Also, the crossover received a new version of the SE, different from other modifications of the reconfigured suspension and 19-inch wheels.
Nissan Pathfinder was updated in the summer of 2016. The new version received a converted front end and a six-cylinder 3.5 engine with a payback of 284 horsepower. Regardless of the configuration, the SUV has seven seats.
