Car Vinyl Player. In 1956, these players were installed in cars Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge and Plymouth. The recordings used a more dense recording to reduce interference when driving, and the playback speed was reduced to accommodate up to 45 minutes of music. The players were produced by the CBS-Columbia factory, so these records only produced the artists signed for the Columbia label.
