Dates grow in large bunches on the date palm trees. The homeland of the date palm is considered to be the territory of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco. In Ancient Egypt alcoholic beverage was produced from the fruit of this palm. The date palm grows more than 60 years, and each year brings a bountiful harvest.
Capers are flower buds of this plant. Prickly perennial shrub throws creeping branches the length of which reaches 150 cm. Young shoots, flower buds and young fruits of this plant are used in food.
