The peanut grows under the ground. By the way, from the point of view of botany to name the peanuts – a nut is not quite right. It is leguminous herb. The birthplace of peanuts is South America, and now this herb is grown all over the world.

In Ancient Egypt alcoholic beverage was produced from the fruit of this palm. The date palm grows more than 60 years, and each year brings a bountiful harvest.
Capers are flower buds of this plant. Prickly perennial shrub throws creeping branches the length of which reaches 150 cm. Young shoots, flower buds and young fruits of this plant are used in food.
