One woman in three has ever had an abortion. In the UK, abortion is not considered something immoral or illegal, the procedure is officially permitted since 1967 – in England, Scotland and Wales. According to statistics, the number of women who have abortions, increased from 154,300 in 1995 to over 200,000 in 2013.
