Until recently, in the city of Antananarivo, there was not a single structure built of stone.

One stone building built till the 19th century was the palace of Rueva, which is depicted in the photo. Other buildings from the stone were simply banned by the local Queen Ranavalun I.

On the outskirts, in the city slums, there is no that French charm as in the downtown. There is even a cart transport.

But there are a lot of beautiful places here as well. In Madagascar, which is located in the southern hemisphere, in summer beautiful trees Jacaranda blossom.

The island for many years belonged to the French colony. Therefore, French notes are still felt everywhere.
