The design of the bridge is presented in the form of the two converging and diverging “sine waves”, the ends of which abut the shore of the island and the mainland. Tops “arches” reach 60 meters above the water level, and the road surface is located at an altitude of 20 meters: it is divided in two halves and each half has 4 strips and is suspended on the sides “sine waves” on the principle of the console. The bridge has 842 m length. It is illuminated effectively at night; lighting project was designed by the famous designer Rogier van der Heide.
