Architectural mistakes that cost lives of people

Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, 2005

Unique Walt Disney Concert Hall became a landmark of LA. The design of the building was made by the renowned architect Frank Gehry and according to his plan the outer buildings walls were covered with steel panels. However, in 2005 the builders were forced to make changes to the facade of the building, as the metal has become a powerful reflector of sunlight and all the inhabitants of the nearby houses suffered from excessively high temperatures.
